View of the River Nith just before it meets the Solway. To take this picture I stood in the car park of the Boat House Restaurant in Glencaple near Dumfries, Scotland.

In the distance, you can see snow clouds drifting over the river and far hills. Shortly after taking the picture, those clouds reached the area where I had been standing and the area was covered in snow. By then I sat inside the restaurant drinking coffee and watched the snow fall.

Post processed in DXO Photolab 4 and Silver Efex 3. Grain has been added to give the gritty sky in keeping with the weather.
